CHEYYAR IS SITUATED NEAR CHENNAI APPROXIMATLEY 100 KM. THIS TOWN IS UNDER TIRUVANAMALI DISTRICT LIMIT.IT AS HAVING UNPOLLUTED WATER(PURE FOR DRINKING).
THE TOWN IS HAVING VERY FAMOUS TEMPLE CALLED VEDAPURISWARAR TEMPLE SITUATED NEAR THE CHEYYAR RIVER.THE RIVER NAME IS NATURALY NAMED TO THE TOWN ALSO.
CHEYYAR IS A MLA CONSTITUTION. IT IS COME UNDER ARAKKONAM MP CONSTITUTION.

cheyyar is the worst place to live in tamilnadu. People are very arrogant and selfish also water is not condaminated but it will contain esonafiliya.Peoples behaviour is not good they won't do those own job interfer and look over other's growth and guys are not have good behaviour. Bus service very worst when ever you travel from other state you can't able to come when we like because of lake of buses service so that very crowd in all available buses.
Simply i am telling that cheyyar is vey bad place to live. Vanniyar communities are dominated they are behave like kaduvati arrogant mananar.
